We measure buildings in metres.  Dimensions can be displayed in metres, feet and inches or both as required.

MEASURED BUILDING SURVEY

The 'chargeable area' for a measured building survey will be taken as the gross internal area plus the internal area of all roofed structures with three or more sides.

Larger Properties:

In cases where a property includes for example a flat or outbuilding that is to be included in the floor plan, the additional charge will be 4p/ft² ****

The small print……

* Fixed price applies to the living space (and integral garage, if any) of any single dwelling house of up to 3000 square feet. Plans of undeveloped lofts and cellars and detached annexes, garages and other outbuildings (which experience shows are of less value to house buyers and can take up valuable brochure space) will only be made if specifically requested and will be charged extra at current rates. We will however take overall measurements of these spaces if requested.

** Free travel is within a 25 mile radius of this office, which includes most of South Somerset and West Dorset. Clients will be advised of any additional cost before a job is undertaken.

*** We use state-of-the-art laser and computer equipment on site which enables us to avoid transcription errors and deal with the most complex buildings. We take extra time to outline and check our plans while still at the premises.

**** This rate applies to the first 3000ft² and reduces for subsequent areas.
